Cave Dream  by Alan Haehnel

Five young spelunkers are held captive in some inexplicable mystery.  They find they have fallen from a great height into a cave where their perception of reality is challenged.  They are tested by strange stone creatures who ask them to "State one absolute truth to free themselves."
